Based on your own decision or on your physician's recommendation, you have decided to order a specific laboratory test in MEDIREX GROUP laboratories, which is not reimbursed by your health insurance company.
The system will generate advance invoice and payment order, which will contain a unique code (also referred to as "variable symbol"). The file will be automatically sent to your e-mail and you may also print it, download it and store it.
The invoice payment should be made as quickly as possible. We will send you the proper tax-eligible invoice right after we complete the testing of your sample.
The system will redirect you to the 24-pay payment gateway, where you will finish the payment depending on the type of your card and then you will be redirected back to the payment gateway website. Simultaneously, you will receive e-mail notification about the payment result. The payment gateway titled 24-pay is authorized and regulated by the National Bank of Slovakia. The license code is ODB-8835-5/2012.
You will be redirected to the web interface of the bank of your choice and there you will make payment.
The test result will be available within 2–5* working days after identification of the payment on the account of the laboratory. Food intolerance tests are an exception, as in the case of these examinations, a longer turnaround time needs to be taken into account. Typically, results will be available within 2 to 3 weeks after sample collection.
In the case of tests that require interpretation of the result in a specific regime, you will have to enquire about the result with the physician, who performed the sampling (this is mandatory for Trisomy tests** and LBC cytology).
In the case of TRISOMY tests and LBC cytology, the payment needs to be made as soon as possible following the sample collection by the physician. Delayed payment may cause the sample to deteriorate or even fully disable the test due to sample expiration. Therefore, make sure you don't put off the payment, as samples without identified matching payment shall not be tested.
* In 10% of the samples within 8 working days due to biological variability.
** In compliance with the decree of the Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic the lab provides the results of analysis only after completed 12th week of pregnancy.
